Atelier Alain Ellouz is located near Versailles in France, and has a 35-person team. As a result of one success after another, our modest workshop is now burgeoning. In 2014, a showroom opened in London, followed by another in New York in 2018. A new professional showroom is set to open soon in Bièvres, in the Paris region.
As a true artisan of stone, Alain Ellouz masters its qualities and builds on its flaws to transform what seems ordinary into a jewel. Since 2005, he has been the inspiration and impetus behind the workshop’s creations with a five-person team of designers led by Marion Biais-Sauvêtre. Atelier Alain Ellouz opts for radical design, based on simple lines guided by the characteristics of alabaster.
The exceptional creations the workshop produces are all hand-crafted, and designed with the same standards of excellence and pure tradition as the leading French luxury brands. Alain Ellouz is the first to develop this new stone craft. This innovative art form involves the meticulous skill of sculptors and finestone craftsmen as well as cutting-edge technologies developed to control light and preserve the qualities of alabaster.
Atelier Alain Ellouz has brought alabaster stone to the forefront of luxury interior architecture. The workshop designs bespoke projects such as exceptional luminaires, unique bar and mural back-lit compositions and luxury furnishings. They decorate some of the most beautiful spaces in private homes, hotels, restaurants, luxury offices and retail stores around the world. Atelier Alain Ellouz boasts some very prestigious references, including royal palaces, luxury boutiques, prominent hotels and restaurants. It collaborates with globally-acclaimed designers.
In 2019, the workshop was a prize winner at the NY design awards for its INFINITY lighting.
